ASSESSMENT & PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT

AT QUANTUM HUMAN PERFORMANCE, OBJECTIVELY MEASURING YOUR SUCCESS IS WHO WE ARE! THAT’S WHY IT’S IN OUR NAME!

At Quantum Human Performance, our assessment is foundational to our client’s success. We understand that each client is unique, with their own definition of performance. Our assessment involves a unique battery of tests to objectively measure dynamic mobility and stability, as well as strength and power development as they pertain to our client’s definition of performance. The information we obtain from these evaluations lays the groundwork for developing training programs, prescribing corrective exercises, and tracking client progress over time.

ULTIMATELY, QHP’S ASSESSMENT PROCESS IS YOUR FIRST STEP TOWARD “MOVING BETTER, PLAYING BETTER, AND LIVING BETTER”!

WHAT DO WE ASSESS?

Body Composition

Using bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology, we can obtain accurate data about your body’s composition. Different tissues of the body allow electrical current to flow through them at uniquely different speeds. Using (BIA) we can calculate the mass and proportionality of these tissues.

Why is this important?

The anthropometric data we’re able to obtain enables us to personalize your performance program, monitor your progress, and give you nutrition and lifestyle recommendations for optimal performance.

Functional Mobility

WE NEED TO SEE HOW YOU MOVE! A “functional” or adequate level of mobility is foundational to quality movement! Our functional mobility assessments give us valuable insight into both active and passive range of motion at each joint, as well as multi-segmentally.

Why is this important?

Establishing functional mobility gives you the ability to move freely, efficiently, and without compensation, reducing the risk of injury while enhancing your overall performance.

Functional Stability

Stability is, essentially, the ability to effectively manage outside forces acting on your body, like gravity and momentum, etc. The way in which you manage these outside forces directly affects performance variables such as strength, power, speed, and agility, and requires well developed neuromuscular coordination. Our functional stability assessments allow us to objectively measure how you manage these forces in various static and dynamic postures.

Why is this important?

Instability hinders performance and increases the risk of injury! Much like trying to jump, accelerate, or change direction in deep sand, a significant amount of energy is lost due to the instability of the sand. Similar energy loss occurs when there are instabilities up and down your kinetic chain, decreasing performance and increasing the potential for injury.

Strength & Power

Using measurement devices like force plates and tensiometers, we can quickly and accurately measure how you apply force. Collecting measures such as time to peak tension, rate of force development, and asymmetries, gives us greater insight into how efficiently and effectively you produce strength and power.

Why is this important?

Peak performance is the culmination of functional mobility and stability combined with efficient and effective strength and power development. Using the strength, power, and symmetry data we collect, we can accurately and objectively measure improvements to performance.

3-Dimensional Biomechanical

3-Dimensional Biomechanical analysis is the future of movement analysis for performance, injury prevention, and rehabilitation. This technology seamlessly integrates into our assessment process and provides extremely accurate measurements of joint angles, functional range of motion, and dynamic stability.

Why is this important?

Human movement is 3-dimensional and complex. Collecting precise measurements across multiple joints dynamically in a 3-dimensional environment is integral to assessing and optimizing performance.

Speed and Agility

Speed and agility are the essence of athletic performance! So, for our clients who aspire to improve their athletic performance, we conduct a variety of standardized speed and agility assessments to establish a baseline and track progress in those areas over time.

Why is this important?

The results of these assessments directly translate to performance in all ground based sports, and allow us to objectively track the effectiveness of our program.
